The Circle: Mix by Fuzzy Lights

Xavier Watkins from Fuzzy Lights writes:

There is not really any theme to this playlist. Or…well, maybe there is one if you want to find one: it’s maybe got to do with daydreaming.

The mix is more or less in three parts. The first part are tracks which I find put me in a state of dreamy haze, when you are not quite asleep and your imagination works vividly. What better way to induce this state than starting with the gentle voice of Vashti Bunyan and the delicate Animal Collective’s butterfly-like guitars? Things start getting weirdly hypnotic with the Kerouac-esque “The Bridge” and Tarentel’s motorik drumming, before taking a more lucid format and coming back to the Vashti/AC soothe for gentle awaking.
