New to Chill, May 26 2018

Welcome to your bank holiday weekend. We’ve added some beautifully chilled tunes to help you get the most relaxation possible. If you would like to suggest anything we should be playing, you can email music@helpmechill.com

JQ – Gold

JQ’s new album is about growing up with technology. Some of it is rather dark and soul searching, but we’re playing this optimistic track which feels beautiful, innocent and bright.

Eguana – Stardust

Mystical textures and ethereal harmonies are what Eguana does best, and we’ll be playing the title track from this album across the day, with more through the night.

Obsqure – Tabula Rasa

On the same label as Eguana, Obsqure is a multi-instrumentalist from Qatar who has fused traditional and modern sounds into some lush textures and dynamic beats. We’re playing the last three, most chilled, tracks from this album, including “Endless Roads” across the day.

Chris Rolinson – Piano Reflections

Chris combines experience from a lifetime of band touring with a spiritual sense of what it means to find peace and chill. His piano pieces are sublime and form an essential part of our after-midnight sound, but we’ll also be playing “Calling” across the day.

Miki – Wewe

From the funky, jazzy album “Next Last Chance”.

The Egg – Bell Tune

A bonus springtime surprise.

New to Chill, May 19 2018

What’s on your mind this weekend – weddings, weeding, or just chilling? We’re adding 30 new tunes to help. If you would like to suggest anything we should be playing, you can email music@helpmechill.com

Hotel Neon – Means Of Knowing

This trio from Philadelphia makes sublime ambient music, most of which we can only play after midnight (don’t listen while operating heavy machinery…), but we’ll also be playing “Essential Nature” across the day.

Solomon Grey – Clouds

You may recognise this from the BBC series “The Last Post”.

Daisuke Miyatani – Diario

Next week sees a re-issue of this incredibly chilled construction of ambiences, acoustic instruments and found sounds. We’re mostly playing the album after midnight, and the track “Summer Child” will soothe you through the day too.

Liminal Drifter – The Dreams

Dr. Simon Order is an academic genius based in Western Australia after decades of music production work in the UK. He’s found some chilled places in his new album, out soon – here is one of the tracks we’re playing.

Oatmello – No Way Back

Producer Oatmello from Portland makes lo fi, chillhop-style beats.
