Chillhop have great ears for soulful rhythms and vibes which do the hard job of being relaxing yet inspiring, chilled and still evocative and energising at the same time. They’ve become a big part of what we love at Chill, as well as the soundtrack of choice to countless stories and videos online today. So we find that exploring their quarterly compilation of new finds is an exciting event, even more so because they’ll give it to you for any price you want to pay (including free). This producer travelled Japan collecting bird sounds and mixed them into this tunes which evoke exotic landscapes which have helped people chill through the ages.

This is the soundtrack to your life if it’s set in the 80s, and you’re the funkiest person in town.

Super laid-back ambience from versatile chillout producer Thomas Lemmer. This track feels like a refreshing flight through a gently clouded sky.
